Search Engine Optimization vs. Social Media Marketing
What is the difference between search engine optimization and social media marketing?
The easiest way to explain the difference between search engine marketing and social media campaigns is by comparing how quickly you see results.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) writing works, but it usually takes time to see an increase in traffic. No matter how good of a job you do at incorporating keywords into your web content, it takes a while for search engines to notice you. You also need to spend time building links to your content if you want to improve your rankings and subsequent traffic. In general, it will take longer to see results from search engine optimization, but you’ll likely reap the benefits of your hard work for a much longer period of time with little maintenance. This is what I believe is the great source for your Permanent Traffic.
Social media campaigns, on the other hand, can bring a quick spike in traffic and – hopefully – sales. You can build a contest that you promote through Twitter or Facebook and begin to see results almost immediately.The down side to social media campaigns is that they have a short shelf life. Twitter and Facebook are constantly being renewed with fresh information and content and it doesn’t take long for your message to get buried by more recent content. Ideally, you’re working with a content marketing expert who will help you use search engine optimization to reach your long term goals and build a solid foundation for residual traffic AND put together timely social media campaigns to help you with time sensitive promotions.
I do work more on Search Engines than Twitter or Facebook. I do Social Media Optimization to support my SEO.
Why Blogs are Important?
Blogs are an excellent way to create content on a website for SEO purposes. One study showed that small businesses that blog get 55% more website visitors. Blogs have many things that search engines love:
* Freshness
* Relevant
* Inbound links
But the main concern for small businesses when it comes to writing a blog is They are time-consuming.
So how can a search engine optimization service provider perform strong SEO for their clients without a blog? Content so important for a website.
The concept of an optimized custom content center can work great for businesses that want to invest in SEO, and also want to provide authoritative and useful content to their customers. It really is a nice double-whammy marketing strategy. You get the authoritative brand-building and the inbound marketing bait all-in-one. We mainly propose this concept to banks, credit unions, hospitals, and utilities, but there are many other types of businesses that have a need for brand reinforcement and inbound marketing growth.

Benefits of SEO
That's the dream of site owners everywhere as they seek to attain the highest search engine rankings for their sites. It's the Web's equivalent of having the best storefront location. The process of attaining those high rankings is called search engine optimization (SEO).
The SEO process consists of two main components: on-site optimization and off-site optimization. On-site SEO focuses on three objectives: keyword-optimizing your content, effective content creation, and strategic cross-linking. Off-site SEO focuses on maximizing the number and popularity of inbound links with keywords that match your particular subject.
In the past, on-site optimization was enough to boost your website rankings. But the abuse of some meta tags and other SEO shenanigans such as invisible text and keyword stuffing(1) have forced search engines to weigh external factors, such as inbound links, more heavily than on-site optimization.

10 SEO Tools Essential for your website
There are a number of SEO tools online. Here i am listing out a few useful when analyzing a client or competitors website. Best of all.. each of these tools all free! I use only paid tool WordTracker.
2. RankChecker - Rank Checker is a stand alone firefox plugin (also on the SEO Toolbar) that allows you to check the rankings of a site for specific keywords/phrases. One nice feature about Rank Checker is you can check not only US search engines, but foreign versions of Google and Yahoo.
3. Google Webmaster Central – Useful for submitting XMl sitemaps, detecting crawl errors and checking pages with external links.
4. Google Analytics – It goes without saying that web stats are really important for measuring, monitoring and mining keywords.
5. Yahoo! Site Explorer - There are a number of link analysis tools like Link Diagnosis, BackLink Watch, and Link Assistant, however Yahoo! Site Explorer I feel still does the best job of not only finding backlinks, but ordering them in place of importance. Here are the main things I will look at when analyzing SiteExplorer links.
6. Bing Webmaster Center - Use the Webmaster Tools to troubleshoot the crawling and indexing of your site, submit sitemaps and view statistics about your sites.
